Description
A strong and probably one of the lightest carbon fiber filaments on the market to print with. Normally filament manufacturers use ground carbon fiber in the filament, Azurefilm has chosen to use finely chopped carbon fiber which adds extra strength
The filament has no "warping" and has high adhesion between the layers. The filament consists of 15% carbon fiber and can withstand a short-term temperature of up to 125C. It withstands 100C temperatures for at least 10 hours.
The carbon fiber is between 0.4-0.6mm, i.e. you need to use a nozzle with at least 0.6mm size! We recommend using some of our extra hardened nozzles as carbon fiber wears hard on, for example, brass.
Gives a smooth and fine surface, due to carbon fiber the weight is lower than other materials
Print settings:
Nozzle: 245-270C with at least 0.6mm nozzle
Hardened nozzle is recommended
Heating bed: 80-90C
Speed: 40-60mm/s
Bearing height: 0.2mm
Spool dimensions: Outer diameter 200mm, width 52mm, inner diameter 53mm
Building platform: Blue masking tape, kapton tape, glass plate with glue/or one of our products that increase adhesion
Azurefilm PETG-CF is excellent for printing on open printers, i.e. without an enclosed build chamber
