Thermax PEI Ultem9085 500g

Description

ThermaX PEI 9085 (polyether imide)

is one of the strongest and most durable materials on the market. ULTEM 9085 is made from resin manufactured by Sabic.
ThemaX PEI 9085 boasts extremely high performance in industry. PEI is used where very high mechanical properties are required. PEI also performs at high temperatures (TG: 186C!), is flame retardant and has high resistance to chemicals.

PEI is one of the few 3D printer filaments that are certified and approved for use in, for example, the aerospace and defense industry. Compared to metal, PEI provides weight savings and enables complex 3D models. PEI Ultem passes the requirements for, for example, FAR 25.853 and OSU 65/65

Other Benefits of PEI9085 Ultem

  • Fireproof & Self-extinguishing material
  • In case of fire, does not emit toxic gases
  • Heat resistant, TG of 186 °C!
  • Excellent strength
  • Resistant to most chemicals
  • Its unique molecular structure also gives it strength as a metal replacement material, making it ideal for structural applications.

  • Electrical insulator is ideal for advanced electronics
